Money calculators for when the numbers feel tight

Run the numbers before you make a call about rent, a side gig or a loan. Every calculator here works in your browser and keeps nothing.

Quick answer

These four calculators answer the questions people ask most when money is short: where your pay is going, what an hourly offer is worth in a year, how much cash would carry you through a lost paycheck, and what a delivery or rideshare shift really pays once the car is counted. Each one runs in your browser, so nothing you type leaves your device.

Which calculator to start with

Is this hourly job worth more than my salary?Hourly to salary calculatorYearly, monthly, every-two-weeks and weekly pay

How we built them

The math is simple on purpose and every input is visible. Where a calculator uses an outside number, such as the IRS business mileage rate or the self-employment tax rate, it names the source and lets you change the figure. None of the tools ask for your name, your bank or your credit score.

Short on cash right now?

If the numbers show a gap you cannot close this week, tell us the amount and when you need it. We show options from licensed lenders and say plainly when a loan is not the right move.

Common questions

Do these calculators save what I type?

No. They run in your browser with plain JavaScript and nothing is sent to us or anyone else. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.

Are the results financial advice?

No. They are estimates built from the numbers you enter. Use them to see the shape of the problem, then check details like taxes and benefits with the agency or a nonprofit counselor.

Why is there a loan form next to a budget tool?

NeededCash is a free loan-matching service, and some people who run these numbers find a gap that only borrowing can close in time. The calculators work the same whether or not you ever use the form.

Where these facts come from

Disclosures

Not a lender. NeededCash.com is not a lender, loan broker, or agent of any lender and does not make credit decisions. We operate a free matching service that shares the information you submit with participating licensed lenders and lending partners, who may contact you with an offer and who pay us a referral fee.

Rates and terms. Each lender sets its own rates, fees, and terms and will disclose them in writing as required by the federal Truth in Lending Act before you sign. Personal and installment loans from lenders in our network typically carry APRs from about 5.99% to 35.99% with terms from 3 to 84 months. Representative example: a $5,000 loan over 36 months at 15.99% APR has 36 payments of $175.76 and a total cost of $6,327.36.
